We've been busy out west in Sugar Grove, IL! PirTano Construction Company was awarded the Settlers Ridge development. We've been tasked to develop +30 acres for 94 brand new homes. The scope consists of moving around 60,000 CY of earth, 4,300 LF of 8" sanitary main, 3,810 LF of 8" watermain, approximately 7,100 LF of RCP storm sewer of various sizes, 9,200 LF of curb & gutter,14,000 SY of HMA pavement and other various roadway improvements.

The Gray Farm Marsh is a major collector for storm runoff and consists of two ponds surrounded by the Strathmore neighborhood developments. In the past, the surrounding neighborhood has experienced flooding in the low-lying portions adjacent to the Marsh, including the public park and along Cloverdale Lane. The intent of this project is to convey storm water to the south pond of Gray Farm Marsh. Below, PirTano has begun modifying the existing sheet pile wall to accommodate (2) new 36" end sections. Scope for this project also includes the installation of approximately 1,600 LF of RCP storm water pipes (various sizes), 3 precast junction chambers and 1,300 SY of pavement restoration.

Addison, Illinois – January 25, 2024 – PirTano Construction Company, Inc. (“PirTano”), a leading Midwest-based infrastructure and utility services-focused underground construction company operating in the communications and sewer & water sectors, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Powerlink Electric (“Powerlink”).   The transaction closed on November 17, 2023. Mike Piraino, President of PirTano, said, “The acquisition of Powerlink will operate as a new electrical division, and brings additional service offerings and bench strength of employees as we look forward to continuing to support our customers while capitalizing on additional opportunities.” Founded in 2006 by Doug Pantle and Steve Lipinski, Powerlink Electric (“Powerlink”), is a full-service electrical and telecommunications contractor based in Vernon Hills, Illinois with an outstanding reputation in its regional marketplace and is well known for the reliability and quality of its service. Powerlink primarily focuses on commercial and industrial projects and operates in Northeastern Illinois and surrounding areas. Powerlink will continue to operate under the current leadership as a wholly owned subsidiary of PirTano.
