关于我们

The PipeDreamers Foundation, founded in 2021 as a 501(c)3 social enterprise under the Stanford Accelerator for Learning, is dedicated to advancing society by focusing on ecosystem development. This includes directing resources into marginalized communities and households impacted by the justice system, with a strategic emphasis on technology, education, and entrepreneurship. The foundation's core mission is to empower justice-impacted households through various educational and developmental programs. These services are designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in today's technology-driven world. A significant aspect of the PipeDreamers Foundation's approach is its pivot into ecosystem development, which involves creating an integrated network of education, technology, and industry partnerships. This holistic strategy aims to foster sustainable growth, innovation, and opportunity within communities. Key initiatives of the foundation include sustaining technology education programs with partners like Google, Salesforce, Coursera, Stanford, and Cornell; launching accelerator programs in entrepreneurship and innovation in collaboration with Stanford Accelerator for Learning; and enhancing employment opportunities through collaborations with Silicon Valley partners, and employer internships/apprenticeships. Furthermore, the foundation is actively engaged in ecosystem development for municipal government economic development agencies, facilitating sponsored programs to support community growth and prosperity. Overall, the PipeDreamers Foundation envisions creating a thriving environment where individuals can overcome barriers and achieve their full potential, making positive contributions to their communities and society at large.

The goal is to enhance the teaching of data analytics while also boosting students’ career prospects. Read more about why we decided to produce this playbook and check out the hands-on advice it provides. Available online as well as to download at no cost. Yale Law School Graduate - Founder & CEO Thurgood Industries

It was truly an honor to cross the YLS commencement stage with my two beautiful children yesterday. Attending Yale Law School has been life-changing in so many ways – as an inner-city kid from Brooklyn, I never imagined that Yale Law School was in the cards for me. It also feels like yesterday when I was pitching investors at Gary Stewart's cross-disciplinary course, “Think Like a (Start-up) Founder,” sponsored by the Tsai Leadership Program. That course wedded my love of the law with entrepreneurship and innovation. I’m now happy to say that, after six wonderful semesters at YLS—and two semesters earning a degree in manufacturing technology at a local technical college—I founded Thurgood Industries, an alpha-stage startup that’s working to address the existing skills gap in our advanced manufacturing sector. I’m also thrilled to be joined by two brilliant co-founders, Dan Scellen and RC Johnson, who are truly mission driven to help solve one of our nation’s most pressing challenges. As we officially launch in the coming days, I look forward to offering frequent updates on our efforts to connect people with meaningful careers in the skilled trades and advanced industry. Stay tuned! That said, I want to give a huge thanks to all the Yale alumni, staff, and faculty who inspired and supported me on this journey, including Miriam Ingber, James Forman, Jon Perdue, Matt Blodgett, Gary Stewart, and so many others. I also want to give a special thanks to the Tsai Leadership Program and Brooklyn Nets CFO Peter Stern for his support throughout law school. Thank you – I’m forever grateful!

Ten Niagara Falls High School students received Stanford University credit for successfully completing CS 105, an introductory computer science course offered by Stanford Digital Education through a partnership with the National Education Equity Lab, according to an article posted by Joseph Genco and the NIAGARA FALLS EXPRESS. The course was free to students, who met after school in a classroom under the direction of teacher Danielle DePalma. Students received instruction from Stanford teaching fellows (TFs); watched recorded lessons from the course creator, Stanford lecturer Patrick Young; and attended TF office hours to receive individualized help. “The only difference between Niagara Falls High School's top students and those at more affluent schools is opportunity,” said Niagara Falls City School District Superintendent Mark R. Laurrie, quoted in the article. “Our students are just as talented, intelligent, and dedicated as students from districts where most families do not have to struggle to make ends meet. That is what makes this program so important to the district; it's helping to even the playing field.” The PipeDreamers Foundation connected Stanford Digital Education to Niagara Falls High School, and Priscilla F., associate vice provost for digital education at Stanford, attended the district school board meeting March 14 to celebrate the students’ achievements. • Our east coast operations in New York State is currently working on a large scale citywide ecosystem development research project in the City of Niagara Falls. Historically, the City of Niagara Falls played a major role in the abolishment of slavery, the black civil rights movement, and industrial technology innovation. During the beginning of the 21st century as the digital renaissance of computer technology started to transform commerce around the globe Niagara Falls’s economy began to fall behind as it was grossly depend on manufacturing goods, materials, and chemicals whos companies decided to move overseas. Instead of embracing the new age of information and ushering that innovative spirit that created the hydro-powered energy while other cities depended on whale oil, Niagara Falls leaders decided to bank on tourism as a leading source for economic growth. This has not worked for the region, and has created economic turmoil for the residents of the City of Niagara Falls especially the minorities that live in the city. As we move into the age of artificial intelligence the City of Niagara Falls will fall further behind if the locals in government, academic institutions, and the business community, don’t develop strategies to implement technology innovation into plans for sustainability and growth in the public and private sectors of the city. PipeDreamers Foundation is on the ground in the City of Niagara Falls helping private and public sector organizations get the resources needed to reboot Niagara Falls USA. If anyone is interested in partnering with us to help bring life back to this America’s World Wonder please contact me or Jodi Anderson Jr.

?? Reflecting on a Busy and Impactful Weekend ?? Once again, they doubted our ability to be in two places at once. But once again, we've defied the odds and demonstrated that the naysayers were mistaken. The momentum for change, driven by the vibrant energy of WNY's Millennials and Gen Z, coupled with unwavering support from the preceding generation, is unstoppable. Together, we're paving the way for a future where Black Americans thrive and prosper in this ever-evolving digital landscape. Over the weekend, Jodi Anderson Jr. and I had the privilege of participating as panelists at the Black Men Empowerment event hosted by the Northland Workforce Training Center. It was an honor to share insights into the impactful work we're spearheading at Cornell University ILR School's Criminal Justice & Employment Initiative. Our discussion centered around the upcoming Justice Technology and Expungement Clinic, where we're dedicated to assisting justice-impacted individuals in expunging their criminal records, rectifying false information, and fostering new restorative records. Huge thanks to Darren Saxon and City of Buffalo, New York, for granting us access to the Black Men Empowerment platform and for the unwavering support from the @Mayor Brown Administration in dismantling barriers for families in East Buffalo. Additionally, the Niagara Falls Black Economy Transformation Summit 2024, co-hosted by Transformation Through Revitalization, was a resounding success. Esteemed panelists like Norschenia Payne-Dobbs, Renae Kimble, Donta Myles, Jacob J. Fleming, Sr. Sr., and others shared invaluable strategies for cultivating the Black Economy in Niagara Falls. The engagement from the audience was inspiring, as they contributed fresh ideas that have the potential to accelerate economic growth within the Black community. This collaborative effort, facilitated by PipeDreamers Foundation and Greater Niagara Digital Education, promises to yield innovative solutions for revitalizing Niagara Falls' most disadvantaged neighborhoods. A heartfelt thank you to our ecosystem partners at the Stanford University Graduate School of Education's Accelerator for Learning, Cornell University ILR School's Center for Applied Research on Work, and Grow with Google for their invaluable assistance and for recognizing us as a 2024 High Impact Partner. Special appreciation goes out to Roger Trevino, Mark R. Laurrie, The John R. Oishei Foundation, NAACP of Niagara County, and all others who showed unwavering support for the transformation of the Niagara Falls Black Economy. If you missed the event, you can catch the recording here: https://lnkd.in/eq3Zu24u Let's continue working together to drive meaningful change and empower communities for a brighter future! ???? #CommunityEmpowerment #EconomicRevitalization #SocialImpact #Gratitude
