Last Friday, the Center for International Business Education and Research, the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center and the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center hosted a workshop aimed at teaching Spanish for business, using soccer in Latin America and Spain in the K-12 language curriculum. ?? The Winter Break 2024 Study Abroad program at FIU Business took nearly two dozen international business students to Dubai, UAE, and Bangkok, Thailand, this past December. The program offered students the opportunity to explore two dynamic markets and immerse themselves in their rich cultures. In Bangkok, students met with Frank Cancelloni, CEO of the Jim Thompson Company, a globally recognized lifestyle brand known for its fine silk fabrics from Thailand and Deepak Ohri, CEO of Luxury Atelier Maison Happiness LAMH, a luxury management company. The visit was organized as part of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center’s initiative to provide students with valuable exposure to global business leaders. What a great day Florida International University! Spending time with the incredible Claudia Romo Edelman, learning from her powerful presentation on advocating for respect and empowerment at an engaging social media marketing class with Nancy Richmond was truly remarkable. It was a day at Florida International University - College of Business and Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center filled with inspiration, knowledge, and meaningful discussions about creating impact in the society.
