Our team has achieved an incredible milestone at LAUSD’s Dixie Canyon Charter Elementary School forty calendar days ahead of the anticipated completion date! The Dolphins started the Fall 2024 semester in their brand-new, next-generation two-story classroom building!!! Thanks to our entire team, the school is also benefiting from a comprehensive site utility upgrade, a new LADWP electrical service, and a beautiful lunch shelter just in time for the late summer heat. The electrical upgrades were challenging, but our team prioritized it from day one, coordinating closely with the LADWP. Months of BIM coordination have paid off, ensuring this seamless execution. “It has been an amazing team effort working together with LAUSD & DLR Group to accomplish this milestone and two-story main building for Dixie Canyon Charter Elementary on time,” said Justin Jenkins, Sr. Superintendent. Our next focus includes a new kindergarten building and further site improvements! Safety will always remain a top priority. We are thrilled to be a part of such an extraordinary discovery at San Pedro High School! ?? Our construction project unearthed a treasure trove of fossils dating back millions of years, offering a glimpse into LA's prehistoric past. From ancient shells to fish bones and the ear bones of an extinct dolphin species (the rarest find!), the diverse range of species found showcases a bygone era teeming with life. ?????? Partnering with Los Angeles Unified School District and Envicom Corporation the Pinner Construction team played a pivotal role in overseeing the careful excavation that revealed this incredible find. We are proud to contribute to the preservation and exploration of this rich paleontological history. ????? The collaboration between researchers at the LA County Museum of Natural History and CSU Channel Islands is already uncovering new insights from these fossils. Some will even be displayed at San Pedro High School, allowing students to connect with the ancient world beneath their school grounds. ???? Our team is buzzing with excitement to announce that we have been selected as the design-build entity for the $63.8M California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Replacement Project, which will deliver a new functional, safe, and secure facility for CHP officers, staff, and the visiting public. Our team’s forward-thinking design embraces the future, combining modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment to not only meet the requirements of today, but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow. ? The LEED Silver facility will also be flexible for future building expansion to accommodate additional staff.
