April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Pinnacle is dedicated to supporting veterans who have experienced Military Sexual Trauma (MST). Our specialized program offers trauma-informed care tailored to veterans with MST, co-occurring mental health conditions, and substance use disorders. Through mindfulness practices, evidence-based therapies like CBT, EMDR, and CPT, as well as holistic treatments such as yoga, art, and music therapy, we foster a safe and supportive environment for healing. Our intimate 10-bed setting ensures personalized care, while aftercare planning and family involvement guide long-term recovery. Our coed program mirrors real-world dynamics, providing participants with the tools to navigate mixed-gender environments and improve communication skills in a safe and controlled space. Read on to discover more about Sara and the crucial role she plays in driving our company’s success.?? “My job is Executive Director over First Dawn and Desert Winds of Las Vegas. My day-to-day duties are collaborating with the leadership team, providing oversite and accountability to the leaders to keep them directed and moving forward with their KPIs and goals. I have daily interaction with clients and staff to better understand their needs, provide support, and gather feedback to improve the program wherever possible.?As a clinician, I am also available to offer support, whether it’s facilitating a group, completing an assessment, or crisis intervention, however I can say that because we are small and well-staffed, I’ve done very little of that. My favorite part of the job is the opportunity to support our leaders and staff so that we can be efficient and provide the best possible care to our clients.?I also love working in treatment where we can have such a swift, positive impact on the lives of our clients, their families, and ultimately the community.?Having our target clients be veterans is also particularly meaningful because a lot of the reason they need treatment is service-related.?
