Why is WeatherTech? one of the top winners of this year's Super Bowl ads? Their ad wins with consumers in nearly every possible scoring dimension! Zappi tested all of the Super Bowl ads with 20,000 consumers and found that this ad: ?? Delivers a powerful punch on sales impact (94) - among the very best of the night, wow! ?? Outperforms hugely in distinctiveness (4.3 vs norm of 3.8) ?? Showcases a very high emotion score (65 vs norm of 56) ?? Evokes nearly 4x as much laughter as the average ad (31% vs norm of 8%) These scores earned it a coveted spot in our report of the best-performing Super Bowl ads of 2025! This ad follows a group of rebellious older women to a classic tune beloved by so many Americans, Steppenwolf’s “Born to Be Wild.” The ladies take a wild ride in their convertible along the coast, partake in some breakdancing, flash the crowd when they win a game of bingo and more. But they don’t have to worry about whatever is thrown at them, even if it’s some tea and cookies spilled on the convertible’s floor. After all... they have WeatherTech. ?? These fab four made for a wildly rebellious ad that kept the audience laughing and rocking out from the get-go. Viewers enjoyed the complete chaos the women left in their wake, all while having a grand ole time! It’s great to see such a positive portrayal of an older generation, but this ad performed well with all ages and genders. The music choice, casting and humor landed a real win for WeatherTech, but the product and brand tie-ins were so smart that we expect to see real business impact as a result.
