One of the campaigns we are proud to design and co-build is Black Innovation Alliance’s “Decade of Black Innovation,” which we affectionately shorthand to “DOBI”. In addition to ensuring Black entrepreneurs are equipped to compete in the emerging digital economy, DOBI celebrates every day Black innovators creating pathways to “thrivehood”.
In the spirit of the BIA's Decade of Black Innovation, we take a moment to celebrate the radical joy and transformative power that stems from reclaiming and reimagining our heritage. Black entrepreneurs are at the forefront of pioneering new frontiers in various fields, including farming, as we reconnect with the land and our roots. This movement is not just about agriculture—it's about empowerment, sustainability, and the creation of vibrant, self-sufficient communities. One inspiring example is showcased in this video by Goodful, where Tanya Fields, the founder and executive director of Black Feminist Project, highlights the incredible work on her Bronx-based farm. Fields innovates by cultivating crops and sowing seeds of economic resilience and cultural pride. #BlackInnovationAlliance #BlackInnovation #RadicalJoy #BlackFarmers #SupportBlackBusiness #Farming #DecadeOfBlackInnovation
