Pinfa-NA (Phosphorus, Inorganic and Nitrogen Flame Retardants Association North America) is a non-profit trade organization that represents the manufacturers and users of halogen free flame-retardant technologies. Pinfa-NA and its global affiliates in Europe and Asia supports fire safety through innovative and sustainable fire performance solutions using products based on phosphorus (P), nitrogen (N) and inorganic compounds (e.g. metal hydroxides). Pinfa-NA sponsors annual workshops on flame retardant materials for market sectors including electrical & electronic, building & construction and transportation. Through its outreach program; pinfa-NA often participates at industry trade shows and conferences throughout the year. The members of pinfa share the common concept of an ideal flame retardant as one which: - is not toxic to humans, animals and plants - does not migrate out of finished products - does not release additional toxic or corrosive gases in case of fire - does not impede the recycling of finished articles - is either degradable in the environment or remains neutral as naturally occurring substances

We all have a “guy”, our go to expert in something.?For me it was my polymer guy, someone who was relatively new to Additive Manufacturing but drank to kool-aid with gusto. Many of you know him already, a classic New Yorker, he was all in when he met you. He loved his First Robotics kids, and he called many of us brother and I for one felt a deeply.??If you know him, you saw how he loved and was very proud of his family, if he didn't that's a bummer, Ken Vessey passed away last Saturday, he dreamed of captaining his own sailboat in his retirement with me crewing, so I say this: (Alfred Lord Tennyson) I hope to see my Pilot face to face when I crossed the bar.

Together, we tackled some of the most pressing challenges facing the sector, from material stabilisation to optimising recycling streams and dismantling processes. Key takeaways: ?? The importance of collaboration across the value chain to address gaps and improve sorting, dismantling, and recycling processes for complex automotive components. ?? Need for new recycling streams that support the automotive industry's “Road to CO2 Neutrality” goal and the pending "End-of-Life Vehicle” (ELV) regulation. ??
