Recently, Lyndia Downie sat down with Boston Public Radio’s Margery Eagan and Andrea Cabral to talk about tomorrow's Thanksgiving meal at Pine Street Inn. "It's not just about having a nice meal, it's about bringing volunteers in so people aren't feeling so lonely," says Lyndia. Watch now on GBH: https://lnkd.in/ethYdJP5

During her 40 years at Pine Street, Lyndia Downie has transformed the organization from a shelter offering just a bed and meal for the night, to an organization that provides a wide range?of services and owns or manages 39 permanent residences with more than 1,000 tenants in Boston and Brookline. Here, Lyndia speaks with a tenant in one of our residences, as she continues to advocate for safe, stable housing for all.

We're giving thanks to the Saint Cecilia's parishioners for Sunday’s Thanksgiving Meal Drive. This year, the parish donated more than 300 bags filled with all the fixings for a Thanksgiving feast, which will be distributed to tenants in Pine Street’s housing. We are grateful for your support of our Pine Street Inn community

Move-in day to a permanent home marks a powerful new chapter in people’s lives. Over the past two days, 15 individuals have moved beyond homelessness and into Pine Street Inn's newest permanent supportive housing in Jamaica Plain. Over the coming months, this residence will become home to 140 new tenants, bringing Pine Street’s total to 1,100 units of housing. Join us in celebrating this milestone by sharing your best wishes for new tenants! Thank you to The Community Builders, Inc.!

We are thrilled to announce Pine Street Inn has received running bibs for the 2025 Boston Marathon?. A huge thanks to Bank of America and Boston Athletic Association and the future members of #TeamPineStreet. Happy 35th anniversary to Pine Street's supportive housing residence in Boston’s South End. This 16-unit building was Pine Street’s fourth housing location. Now, we are leaders in supportive housing, successfully moving more people back into a home and community every year. #TBT

Kelsi T. grew up in the foster care system and became homeless after turning 18. While living on the street, Kelsi developed a substance use disorder and worked with Pine Street's street outreach team to get support. Now in Pine Street housing, Kelsi is thankful for the help she received and the place she now calls home. Read her story: https://ow.ly/WkOj50U6xRK
