Each December, our team here at Pine Street gathers with family, friends, clients and the local community for a night of festive bike-building, assembling over 100 bikes for disadvantaged children in the community. Since the launch of "The 100 Wheels Project" in 2008, over 1500 bikes have made their way to homes just in time for the holidays. This December 5, we'll be building over 100 more! When planning our new ground-mounted solar array, we decided to adopt a nascent practice known as solar grazing or “agrivoltaics,” which is the dual use of land for solar power and agriculture. This past week, we welcomed our first herd of 35 sheep. They will spend the warm months grazing the field, which reduces both cost and emissions that would have come from mowing. The land was prepped for their arrival with Fuzz & Buzz Seed Mix, which promotes the health of both pollinators and sheep.
