"When local governments, nonprofit organizations, academic institutions and private companies come together with a shared vision, they can tackle complex problems in ways that communities alone cannot." Excited to share the "Stronger Together: The Power of Collaborative Community Solutions" article co-written by Katie O'Connor, AICP and myself for American City & County. CC: Claire Collobert Angelle, Andie Orozco, Péralte Paul, Karen Kirkpatrick
Collaboration is the key to solving some of our toughest community challenges ???. That’s exactly what Jamal Lewis, our Economic Opportunity Manager, and Katie O'Connor, AICP , our Community Research Manager, explore in their article?"Stronger Together: The Power of Collaborative Community Solutions"?for American City & County They highlight how partnerships between local governments, nonprofits, academic institutions, and private companies are tackling complex problems in ways that single entities can’t do alone ??. A great example? A project in Millen, Georgia, supported by our Community Research Grant Program, using AI to improve pesticide use in cotton farming ????. By bringing together local educators, agricultural experts, and private companies, this collaboration is creating data-driven solutions that benefit farmers and drive innovation in the agricultural industry ????. We’re proud to be part of initiatives like this that leverage the strength of collaboration to address the challenges that matter most to communities ??. ??♂? The Downtown Manager's Office of the City of Albany, GA hosted a fantastic Hard Hat tour of downtown properties this morning. They started by highlighting the upcoming Student and Community Entrepreneurship location for 4C Academy. I was thankful to have a few minutes to share the impact ATDC is having in our area in partnership with The Launch Room (also to be located here), and also the support we've had from the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation to activate startup innovation here in Albany. #LaunchABY #InnovateABY #Entrepreneurship
