?? Kick the Habit for Good! ?? As of 2024, smoking rates in the U.S. have dropped to historic lows—only 11% of adults report smoking, a huge decrease from 41% in 1944. And among adults under 30, smoking rates have plummeted from 35% in the early 2000s to just 6%! But as cigarette use declines, e-cigarette use has risen, with about 18% of adults under 30 now vaping. Pillar Health, a division of Kenosha Community Health Center, is honored to join the City of Racine’s vision for expanded community healthcare as a key partner in the soon-to-be-built Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. This $68 million project, located near Julian Thomas Elementary School, will house Racine’s first Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and will be Pillar Health’s second dedicated location.
