关于我们
Piedmont Housing Alliance creates housing opportunities and builds community through education, lending and development. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our community can have a place to call home. Founded in 1983, Piedmont Housing has helped more than 800 families become homeowners through financial counseling, education and down payment assistance. We have deployed more than $7 million in down payment assistance to home buyers, developed 64 single family homes and created and now own and/or manage 395 rental homes. We are a US Treasury certified Community Development Financial Institution, a US Dept of Housing & Urban Development approved Housing Counseling Agency, and state-certified Community Housing Development Organization.

"For the past couple of years, the neighborhood association, in partnership with Woodard Properties and Piedmont Housing Alliance, has been working to bring a grocery store back to Fifeville. It’s something residents have long said that they want in their neighborhood." The purpose of the survey is twofold, Joshua Harris, a member of the Cherry Avenue Grocery Community Engagement Team, wrote in an email to people who’ve been following the project. The neighborhood association is working with RN HEARTwork Health Education, Coaching & Consulting on the survey and other community engagement events. “We want to know what community members feel are the most important reasons for choosing a particular grocery store,” he wrote. “And we want to find out if respondents know someone who wants to start a grocery store or if they might be interested in being part of a group that wants to found a new non-profit or co-op to own the store.” Read more about the grocery co-op initiative and take the survey here: https://lnkd.in/evn87VRR

“When this began, I thought at best there was a 1% chance something could even be put together to make an offer. To see it happen has been really incredible," said City Councilor Michael Payne.
