Our 2025 fundraiser is live! ?? Piece of the Pi is a nonprofit organization with a mission of advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education and accessibility in Arizona. Each year, we fundraise for the three weeks leading up to Pi Day, 03/14, for Arizona Science Center’s STEM Discovery Initiative. ??????? In 2024 we raised $19,500 for this cause. This year, our fundraising goal is $20,000!?? You can support us by donating directly via GoFundMe, purchasing merchandise on our website (where all profits go towards the fundraiser), and/or participating in our community partnership event: a heated mat Pilates class at The Workshop Pilates in Arcadia, taking place on 3/1 at 1:00 PM. Every year’s fundraiser has a new theme. Our 2025 is “STEM Superheroes!” Please consider becoming a STEM Superhero yourself by supporting our fundraising efforts! ??♀??? More information and links are available on our website, pieceofthepi.org. Keep an eye out for our posts leading up to the Pi Day on LinkedIn and follow us on our Instagram @piece.of.the.pi !

We are thrilled to announce that our 2025 STEM Superheroes fundraiser raised $18,000 in three weeks for STEM education accessibility in Arizona!??♀?????? All funds will go to Arizona Science Center (ASC) programs such as the Girls in STEM, CAMP INNOVATION, Fund-A-Bus, and Science on Wheels programs, all of which are part of ASC’s STEM Discovery Initiative.??????? Highlights from this year include: ? Our donor count! Over 130 unique individuals monetarily contributed to our fundraiser!?? ? Our campus outreach efforts! Led by Katelyn Weaver , our 2025 Campus Outreach Team found new ways to engage with students on the Arizona State University Tempe campus. In addition to presenting to campus clubs, we were able to spread flyers around campus and even table at the Memorial Union to spread word of our organization! ????? ? Our community partnerships! The Community Partnerships Team led by Victoria Stratton coordinated partnerships with local businesses that were key to this year’s fundraising. We collaborated with The Workshop Pilates to host a heated mat Pilates class that benefited our fundraiser; at our Pi Day party, Truly Blessed Jewels, Friday Flowers, and The Dinersaur bakery sold items and gave a portion of their sales to our fundraiser! ??????? ? Our internal networking opportunities arranged by our Internal Development Team! Team leaders Lea Petit and Marilyn Ghazoul worked hard to arrange opportunities for members to connect and strengthen relationships with one another during our busy fundraising period!????? ? Our fun theme of STEM Superheroes! Our fundraiser benefited from many merchandise sales this year! This success is due in no small part to Bhavana Giridar and Alicia Negrete, who designed this year’s merchandise. ??♀???? ? A new pi recitation record for our founder, Ainsley Ramsey! In celebration of Pi Day, Ainsley recited 1,200 digits of pi from memory! ??? We could not have accomplished this without each of our individual donors, passionate members, and our local community partners! Thank you to all who make Piece of the Pi all that it is! ????? #PiDay #Fundraising #PieceofthePi #STEMEducation

I am proud to share that Piece of the Pi raised $19.5K during our three-week Pi Day fundraiser, benefitting STEM education accessibility in Arizona through programs at Arizona Science Center ! ??????? I am blown away by our growth since last year and what our team has been able to pull off! Some 2024 highlights: ? Our team size nearly tripled, from 10 members in 2023 to 29 in 2024! ? We dove head-first into the world of hands-on volunteering by hosting the second-ever Panel Professionals event, targeted for teens interested in STEM-related futures, at the Arizona Science Center. We provided five female panelists representing different sectors of the STEM field and led interactive workshops providing a glimpse into the day-to-day of different STEM careers. ? We partnered with local businesses to host creative fundraising events, this year with a spin class at Rev’d Indoor Cycling Tempe and a “Piece of the Pi Facial Week” at Heyday Skincare Gilbert! ? With a larger team size come internal networking opportunities. We hosted a Galentine’s get-together for our members before the launch of our fundraiser to allow for members to connect & network with one another! ? Thanks to the platform provided by a number of local news outlets, I got to share my journey with pi and with Piece of the Pi on a broader scale! I interviewed for stories with The Arizona Republic | azcentral.com | La Voz , Arizona's Family , FOX10 Phoenix , 12 News (KPNX-TV, NBC) Arizona, and KTAR FM! ? Keeping with my long-term annual tradition, I recited 1,100 digits of pi from memory! Witnessing the development of this organization each year has been an absolute pleasure, and I am so grateful to our POTP team and our community for making this all possible! I cannot wait to see what next year’s events will bring. Happy belated Pi Day! ?? #PieceofthePi #PiDay #PiDay2024 #WomenInSTEM #STEMEducation
