“‘If you build it, they will come’ is a myth,” says Brian "Mac" McMahon, the COO of Replay Sports & Social in Florida. He’s calling out a big assumption in the pickleball and sports club world — that demand alone guarantees success. McMahon argues it takes way more than just courts to thrive. Think: a unique value proposition, building real community, offering more than one activity, and staying ahead of the latest trends.
