Speaking at Ragan Communications and PR Daily's AI Horizons Conference in Miami this week was a powerful reminder that AI in communications isn’t “on the horizon”—it’s here.?Being surrounded by so many fellow strategists leaning into this shift is beyond energizing. ?? Some highlights... Brian Solis?challenged us to see AI as a tool to enhance storytelling rather than automate it, urging us to protect that uniquely human spark in everything we do. Noelle R. dove into the ethical and responsible use of AI, sharing multiple inspiring success stories. The?ROI panel?with?Paul Gennaro,?Alan Black,?John Yembrick, and?Greg Matusky shared how comms teams can stay in the drivers seat with AI initiatives by setting strong KPIs. Data-driven metrics, workflow improvements, and genuine stories of how adoption has boosted team morale reminded us that tracking the right things from the start is crucial. The main takeaway that’s sticking with me: we shouldn’t only be thinking about making our current workflows more efficient or elevating our content—we need a mindset shift to?identify new possibilities?for our work that will elevate our value overall.
