As the story goes, the FCC issued a ruling to prevent calls from a single client of PhoneBurner from reaching the network. But as phrased the the ruling actually suggested that ALL TRAFFIC from PhoneBurner needed to be stopped. The carriers responded accordingly and the ENTIRE PLATFORM was shut down. The result? Over ten thousand businesses using PhoneBurner immediately lost telecom access. Absolutely insane. As Chris tells it, PhoneBurner itself was a mere handful of hours from complete destruction when some telecom angels stepped up and took on the risk of FCC penalties to help PhoneBurner come back from the near dead. Only now, two years later, does Chris feel comfortable telling the story and he really gives everyone a sense of just how devastating the FCC's actions really were.     I REPEAT: SALES IS A DATA GAME. THE MOST DATA WINS!! This is a follow up to my post yesterday where I explained the importance of the CRM and CRM hygiene and getting ALL the information into the CRM! Many people argued that data alone does not win a sale and argued that things like emotion, connection, fear, etc. play a bigger role in sales than the data. This argument misses the point that . . . All the things that influence, trigger, and affect, emotions is data. And when we don’t capture all the information, and then log that information in the CRM, we are doing ourselves a disservice as we are unable to leverage that information to properly help the buyer make the best decision possible emotionally and analytically. I will say it again: sales is all about the data!
