Another Creative City Symposium has come and gone! Thank you to the FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel for allowing Phoenix Community Alliance (PCA) and Artlink Phoenix to once again use your iconic #DTPHX venue in support of us furthering conversations about art & culture in our creative city. ??

Look at the amazing turnout for last week's Arts, Culture & Public Life Committee meeting! Our Members showed up for a presentation from HR&A Advisors and Multistudio, who are the consultants hired by the City of Phoenix for outreach, feasibility, and vision for the new Entertainment District Downtown. Currently, they are in the analytical and outreach phase – completing work in 2025. The firms presented the outreach comments collected to date that included bolstering public realm and connecting places Downtown. They received input from our Committee like finding creative ways to connect high-traffic areas of Downtown, such as Roosevelt Row and Heritage Square among other places. Phoenix Community Alliance's signature Center City Award, constructed by Joan Waters, honors local changemakers who've led the charge for positive growth and development in our community. ?? Since 1993, our organization has spotlighted those from the public, private, and non-profit sectors who have made outstanding contributions to advance the quality of life and further the renaissance of Central Phoenix. In 2020, the awards split into separate 'Newcomer' and 'Champion' awards, recognizing positive short-term and long-term contributions of locals. Last year, Stephanie Vasquez of Fair Trade Cafe and Heather Lennon of Imagine General Contracting and Development & Arizona Warehouse Holdings were recognized.
