Please join us in wishing Rachel Hoffer, the Center for Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Phoenix's Immediate Past Chair, a huge MAZEL TOV on her latest achievement: the National Women's Philanthropy Board! The NWP board is a select group of 150 women from across the country elected from Jewish Federations of North America. As an NWP board member, Rachel will help lead and encourage Jewish women nationally to engage in philanthropy and community service, inspiring and empowering them to become leaders and decision-makers. What a great fit; congratulations to our incredible community member and lay leader!

When the Center for Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Phoenix's CEO, Rich Kasper walked into the Jewish Free Loan office with a smile on his face, their Executive Director, Ellen Sacks, was overtaken with emotion to discover the organization was to be recognized with the Belle Latchman Award. Bob Silver admitted him receiving the Spark Award made him a little uncomfortable because he doesn't do what he does for the awards, it's just a part of who he is. BethEl Nager was honored to learn she was to receive the Lee Amada Award, but it came as no surprise to those close to her; one friend even called it a year ago that she would eventually be rewarded for her dedication to being a young Jewish leader. To Harrison Abramowitz, being a Jewish leader has been instilled in him from a young age. A grandchild to Holocaust survivors and a relatively new Arizona resident, he takes his commitment to the Jewish community seriously as he welcomes newcomers. Join us March 6th at the Lighting the Spark Campaign Breakfast (or NowGen PHX's AfterGlow Young Leadership Event) as we recognize these incredible members of our Jewish community.
