I want to share an article I wrote for the Council on Foreign Relations's "Think Global Health" about burn pits and their understated environmental impacts on U.S. military bases abroad. This has been a part of a larger research project about environmentalism in the U.S. military and the need to develop waste-to-energy technology in the future.
