Congratulations to Benjamin Cranston on receiving the Pro Bono Trainer Award from the ECBA Volunteer Lawyers Project - VLP! This award recognizes Ben's commitment to access to justice in the use of VLP's Family Court Help Desk. Ben and other award recipients were recognized at an event hosted by the VLP last night at Resurgence Brewing Company. Pictured with Ben is his wife Shauna Cranston who deserves recognition for "dealing" with him (Ben's word choice, not ours!).

In 1834, just two years after Buffalo was incorporated as a city, 21-year-old Orsamus H. Marshall opened a solo law practice in the city that would become what is now known as Phillips Lytle. As we celebrate our 190th anniversary this week, we have reflected on the history of the firm and reveled in the contributions that have made Phillips Lytle what it is today. We now boast over 330 attorneys and staff members across nine offices who have joined us from all over the world.?

LL.M. (U. Michigan, DeWitt Scholar), ABA Dispute Resolution Fellow, YSEALI-Fulbright Fellow (US State Dept.)
We came together to cheer on Anna Mercado Clark, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP, as she completed her term as President of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, an incredible achievement, and we could not be any prouder! ???? I am grateful to Phillips Lytle LLP, along with Doug Dimitroff, Kenneth Manning, Anna, and Kimberly Nason (Barnashuk), for their support, which made it possible for me to attend. This opportunity allowed me to be inducted as Northeast Governor of National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA), serve as a judge for the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition, reconnect with old and new friends, and attend a University of Michigan reunion. Being with the Phillips Lytle team in Seattle was a reminder of the values of damn hard work, mentorship, and camaraderie. I am thankful for my spot at the firm everyday.
