Because of the success we have had on behalf of our clients, we have gotten significant recognition. Phillips & Cohen has been named to highly selective lists such as the National Law Journal’s annual "Hot List" of the nation's top plaintiff law firms and its “Elite Trial Lawyers” list. DOJ recently announced a monumental achievement: recoveries under the False Claims Act exceeded $2.9 billion during FY2024, of which over $2.4 billion was attributed to whistleblower (or “qui tam”) cases. Read more from Jagir Patel in P&C's latest blog post. https://lnkd.in/gk28RHM6

P&C partner Colette Matzzie discusses with Bloomberg Law DOJ recovering over $2.9 billion under the False Claims Act in FY2024. The increase in cases filed over the last couple of years “likely reflects the expansion of qui tam actions” into the new areas of focus the DOJ cited, such as pandemic-relief programs and “increased scrutiny of contractor adherence to cybersecurity requirements,” said Colette G. Matzzie who represents whistleblowers with Phillips & Cohen LLP. “Commensurate increases in funding from Congress for fraud investigations and enforcement would no doubt return even more funds to the Treasury.”?https://lnkd.in/eANrbWCP
