PhilAquatics, initially formed to address the unmet needs of the swimming community, embarked on a mission to develop a new aquatic center in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Branded in 2023, PhilAquatics imagined its purpose, and diligently planned the Aquatic Center. By June 2023, the organization completed in-depth local, regional and national site visits, refined its mission and vision, engaged in governance training, and initiated efforts to secure support for its Founders Circle Campaign and comprehensive fundraising initiatives. Once the initial site is secured along with site development funding, PhilAquatics expects that the project design and permitting process will require approximately 12 months.
