Here are the key takeaways: ?? $3.3B raised across 444 deals – a 12.1% YoY dip in volume, but 34.4% growth in deal value, signaling bigger checks and four megadeals ($100M+), 75% of which went to early-stage companies. ?? Early-stage remains strong: ?? Angel investment held steady at $5.8M across 28 deals ?? Pre-seed & seed maintained a 37% share of total deal volume ?? Series A/B deals climbed to 37% of total volume ?? More PE & NTI participation: ?? Private equity firms contributed 12.6% of deal volume and $922.5M in early-stage funding ?? Non-traditional investors (NTIs) grew to 40.1% of deals, representing 78.1% of deal value ?? Corporate venture capital (CVC) surged to 59.5% of deals, with $1.8B invested ?? Exits bounced back – 36 total, matching pre-pandemic highs, driven by strategic acquisitions & LBOs. ?? Sector standouts: ?? Software: 208 deals, $1.1B raised ?? AI: $576M across 127 deals ?? Fintech: $851.8M ?? Healthcare & AI: $43.5M across 17 deals ?? Outside investors are taking notice – NYC firms closed 100 deals worth $1.7B in Philly.
