Philadelphia Macaroni Company (PMC) was founded in Philadelphia, PA, in 1914. We are a fifth-generation family-owned business that has stood as the innovative partner behind many of the world’s greatest pasta development and marketing successes. We recently celebrated our 100-year anniversary.
A. Zerega’s Sons was founded in Brooklyn, NY, in 1848 and was the first pasta factory in America. For over 170 years, the company has made high quality pasta for food processors, foodservice operators, and the retail market.
In April 2020, Philadelphia Macaroni acquired Zerega. We are now a vertically-integrated pasta manufacturer with six pasta manufacturing facilities, strategically located across the US: Spokane, WA, Grand Forks, ND, Lee’s Summit, MO, Harrisburg, PA, Warminster, PA, and Fair Lawn, NJ. We also mill durum and hard red spring wheat through our Minot Milling division, located in Minot, ND. Altogether, Philadelphia Macaroni employs ~660 people.
All of our pasta manufacturing and milling facilities are Kosher, Organic Certified, and BRC certified. For an international customer base, we develop and manufacture all styles of dry, frozen and specialty pastas for industrial, branded retail, and foodservice applications.
