Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) launches its PROactive Solutions for Prolonging Resilience (PROSPR) program! It will build on NIA’s foundational work and will work with industry and regulators to accelerate the testing and availability of new therapeutics targeted at healthspan. PROSPR will pioneer in-home data collection and clinical trial protocols that can assess age-associated health outcomes in just three years instead of decades of study, accelerating the availability of new therapies. Congratulations to Phenome Health and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging for becoming the first recipients funded by PROSPR through the Personalized Analytics for Transforming Health Care (PATH) project! Hats off to program manager, Andrew Brack for pushing this transformative initiative. A4LI is excited to work closely with him and our strategic partners, including Phenome Health and the Buck Institute, to align our initiatives, such as our Advanced Approval Pathway for Longevity Medicines proposal, with the bold goals of PROSPR. We are thrilled that the Buck, along with our partners at Phenome Health in Seattle, has secured an up to $52M award from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) to launch PATH – Personalized Analytics for Transforming Health. Led by Lee Hood, Buck Principal Investigator, Distinguished Professor and Phenome Health CEO, the program aims to revolutionize healthcare by harnessing advanced analytics and AI to predict and prevent disease and increase individual #healthspan. A key component of the program will be the recruitment of a cohort of individuals who will become the most deeply characterized humans ever! https://lnkd.in/drxm-5Ri

I am truly excited to share that the Buck Institute for Research on Aging has secured an award of up to $52M from Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). This is a critical step in advancing our agenda to transform sick care into true healthcare and increased healthspan.

We are thrilled to announce an up to $52M award from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) to the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and Phenome Health to advance the state of the art in multi-omics diagnostics, AI-guided personalization, and deep phenotyping computational infrastructure needed for the future of health. My part will focus especially on an AI-enabled personalization engine -- the "N of 1 Analyzer" -- to provide predictive capability from large-scale measurements of individuals. Such 'digital twin' capabilities are essential to a future of truly personalized optimization of health journeys through life. I will work closely on this with John Earls, Noa Rappaport (Mardiks), Lee Hood, and the full teams at Buck and PH as we dive deep into scientific wellness, precision health, and prevention of chronic diseases such as diabetes. Thank you ARPA-H and we are excited to work hard on this project!

Looking forward to a wide-ranging conversation with some of the leading thinkers in #systemsbiology and engineering about the importance of the #exposome. It is still the case today that even #multiomic research often overlooks the importance of the environmental and behavioral factors and fails to measure these key factors - which provide essential context for interpreting biological data. Join me for this roundtable webinar on June 11th along with our guest experts: Prof. Michael Snyder (Stanford University) Prof. Michèle Belot (Cornell University) Polina Segalova (Head of Product at Teal Health) Gary Smith (Senior Expert Systems Engineer at Airbus) Dr Sean Manion (Chief Scientific Officer at Equideum Health) It promises to be a lively discussion!
