Kuayue Express Company Visit On Saturday, 7th December 2024, Peking University HSBC Business School international students had the privilege of visiting Kuayue Express, a leader in China’s logistics and express delivery industry. Kuayue Express warmly welcomed our teachers and students and offered invaluable insights into the company and the Chinese logistics industry. From Kuayue Express Hall of Fame to a lecture about the industry and the company with an insightful Q&A session, we learned about Kuayue Express’s legacy, business model, and how the company adopts latest technologies to enhance its operations. PHBS International Student Union Hosts Halloween Celebration ???? International Student Union at Peking University HSBC Business School organized a vibrant #Halloween event, bringing together students from diverse cultural backgrounds. This gathering exemplified our commitment to cultural exchange and community building within our international program. The event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen bonds between international and local students and celebrate global traditions. Peking University HSBC Business School students alongside The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen 香港中文大学（深圳）students recently wrapped up an exclusive visit to Citibank at the Citi Tower Hong Kong on Wednesday, 25th September. Students were welcomed with an in-depth presentation into the values and vision of Citi Group and Citibank’s role as a leading player in the industry. The visit offered valuable insights into the inner workings of one of the world’s largest financial institutions, covering topics such as commercial banking, risk management, and global market trends while hearing more about the exciting opportunities available at Citibank. We could not thank Citi Hong Kong and Julia Bong enough for providing our students with the opportunity to visit their company, as well as to Ely Yan, Bryant Chan, JD, PCLL, Chloe Chin, and Qi Jiang (Kyle) Ng for engaging our students’ questions and sharing with us your experiences at Citi, providing an invaluable glimpse into the professional and financial world. It was the perfect blend of education and networking - a session filled with insights and inspiration for our students, shaping their understanding about the financial sector and potential career options.

On August 22nd, our students had the unique opportunity to visit HSBC Hong Kong, where they were joined by peers from the University of Chicago and the The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). This gathering fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas, enabling students from diverse backgrounds to discuss and debate the most recent trends shaping global business. The event provided our students with a valuable platform to network with industry professionals and gain insights into the rapidly changing international business landscape, especially in the context of digital transformation, sustainability, and the geopolitical factors influencing global trade. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the HR team at HSBC Hong Kong Karen Tsang , Hanah Jang , Gabe Ip , and Melissa Yip for their exceptional efforts in organizing and hosting this enriching experience. Their dedication and meticulous planning made this visit both enjoyable and highly educational for everyone involved. Additionally, we are deeply appreciative of the industry experts Cynthia Si , Vincent Chau , and Josh Zhao who generously shared their knowledge and experiences as panelists. Their perspectives on current trends and the future direction of global business were incredibly valuable, offering our students a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the industry. This session has undoubtedly expanded our students' viewpoints and will play a significant role in shaping their future pursuits in the global business landscape.

Under the dazzling lights of the 2024 #PekingUniversity #TopTenSingers Competition Final, Kivia Xavier, a Brazilian master's student from the #PKU School of Transnational Law (PKUSTL), captivated the audience with her rendition of Rihanna's "Diamonds." ??Raised in a family where melodies and rhythms were ever-present, Kivia's love for music is a vital part of her daily life. "There's a song for every moment in life," she says. Drawn by the interdisciplinary curriculum at #PKUSTL, Kivia came to China to explore the broader cultural and societal contexts of law. At PKU, she learned the importance of perseverance and diversity. Studying law requires continuity and patience, much like learning an instrument, where daily practice eventually opens up a whole new world of possibilities.???? "The growing relationship between Brazil and China presents numerous opportunities for collaboration in various fields, including law," Kivia notes.? She aspires to bridge Brazil and China through her career, fostering legal and cultural ties. "If I could be a small bridge between the two countries, that would be my dream job." We were honored to welcome representatives from FTI Consulting to PHBS last Wednesday. Organized by the ISU Business Team, this event provided our students with invaluable insights into career opportunities and facilitated a productive networking session with industry professionals. The FTI Consulting team also toured our campus, including a visit to our cutting-edge Financial Laboratory. It was a day filled with knowledge sharing and meaningful connections.
