Unlocking the potential of exceptional life science technologies and entrepreneurs
关于我们
We fuel early stage life science startups that focus on R&D tools, platform technologies, and computational biology to solve today's roadblocks and allow for tomorrow's discoveries and therapeutics to thrive. We aim to discover and support diverse science entrepreneurs with backgrounds in multi-omics, bioengineering, synthetic biology, and cell & gene therapies. Currently fundraising for Fund I and making select investments. We welcome discussions with entrepreneurial scientists ready to spin something out of academia or out of the garage.

On this day of absolutely no corporate-related holiday at all, I want to say how proud I am of the team at Defined Bioscience. When we opened our doors in a small one-room lab/office combo, we had no idea if anyone was going to care about what we had to offer. Sure, you do your market analysis, see that you have a clear advantage, and get to work. But does that mean someone is ACTUALLY going to take interest? Fast-forward to now: we have almost a dozen products for cell culture, papers citing our reagents in their research, state/federal/private funding, and a dedicated team of scientists and entrepreneurs to support an ever-growing base of customers and partners. We've gone from the occasional email inquiry three years ago to product shipments every day this week. And it couldn't have happened without everyone here that answers emails, processes orders, makes and tests products, troubleshoots, and gets the boxes out of the door. Not everyone has had the same experience we have, and every startup road is bumpy. I'm proud of the group of people that make Defined a real team, and not just another company, to make what we've achieved possible.
