What Happens After The Game??? ?? Who am I if I'm not a football player? As former athlete, I've experienced this first hand. I went from hearing my name shouting out in the stands to a 2 bedroom apartment with 5 roommates. Not an ideal lifestyle... It was not fun. I was no longer popular. I no longer had practice??? That made my heart hurt. I felt like I broke up with my girlfriend, and knew she wasn't coming back. I had to rebuild. I had to reinvent. I had to pivot. I had to reinvest. I had to embrace my true identity. I had to sell a lot of phones to replace my 9-5. Today, I'm a Father Today I'm a Fiancé Today, I'm a Son Today, I'm an Entrepreneur As long as I tied my identity to my sport? I'd never been able to move forward to the next chapter in my life, If I allowed What I do, Define Who I am... It took letting go of the athlete identity to truly progress to the next chapter of my life.
