Mark Bouck, CEO and Chairman of PharmAlliance, was interviewed in the Triangle Business Journal: https://lnkd.in/ehjQiDxv Following is excerpts and summary of article by Zac Ezzone, Staff Writer, Triangle Business Journal, Apr 25, 2024 Mark Bouck, and Waud Capital Partners, a private equity firm in Chicago, last year began building PharmAlliance, a pharmaceutical services business that supports clients in various parts of the drug and medical device development process. . . Bouck and Waud signaled their intent to work together in early 2022, with the private equity firm outlining its plans to invest $75 million to $150 million or more to support a platform investment in the pharma and life science services market. The process of building out PharmAlliance began in September with the acquisition of BioBridges, a Boston-based firm that helps small and mid-sized pharma and biotech companies execute on clinical trials from phase 1 through phase 3. PharmAlliance followed this deal with its acquisition in January of Monitorforhire, a technology platform that leverages a network of field monitors who support and audit clinical trials. This network includes more than 4,000 clinical research professionals globally. PharmAlliance this month completed its third deal with its acquisition of Complete Health Economics Outcomes Research Solutions, or CHEORS. This business focuses on health economics and outcomes research, which involves information used to measure real-world health outcomes, project market access or support product pricing. Through these acquisitions, PharmAlliance has built out a company with about 300 full-time employees across multiple locations, Bouck said. ?. . Bouck said PharmAlliance will complete at least one more acquisition this year. After a few more deals, Bouck expects the company to invest organically within the businesses and focus on the areas of the product development lifecycle where it can excel. "We will find the areas within phase 1 to commercialization that we will do really well, and we will go deeper into those areas," Bouck said.
