ID, integrates into polio vaccine campaigns aimed at protecting 1.1M Pakistani children from paralytic poliomyelitis. PharmaJet is pleased to collaborate with WHO and the Pakistan Ministry of Health to launch a polio immunization campaign for children under five starting today in Karachi. Using our Tropis ID needle-free system, a fractional dose of inactivated polio vaccine will be delivered to over 1 million children in support of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

The campaign builds upon evidence from?house-to-house administration of Inactivated Poliovirus in Nigeria?which demonstrated needle-free, intradermal vaccine administration is easy-to-use and can achieve high immunization coverage. Very exciting to read this article authored by UNICEF, WHO, SIDRA, and State and?Federal Ministry of Health Officials from Somalia regarding use of PharmaJet's needle-free intradermal delivery technology for the 2021 polio campaigns in Berbera region. These authors note: "The increased uptake of the fIPV in the second round (R2) points towards an enhanced or deepened community acceptance of the delivery method in light of favorable experience with the needle-free administration method. The evidence from this study suggests that the impressively high coverage post-campaign was mainly due to preference for the use of intradermal needle-free injectors." On the 26-27 May 2024, PharmaJet Master Trainers, Kangethe N'gure and Isaac Ola, joined WHO Somalia, UNICEF Somalia & Ministry of Health- Somalia to illustrate the use of needle-free injectors. The trainees will cascade this training for district-level vaccinators to administer fractional inactivated polio vaccine in an upcoming fIPV campaign in four districts of Banadir. Fractional inactivated polio vaccine (fIPV) delivered with PharmaJet's needle-free Tropis device will be used alongside novel oral polio vaccine in high-risk districts of Daynile, Kahda, Darkenley, and Yaqshiid to target vulnerable and under-immunized children to boost their immunity. https://lnkd.in/gq_nxcvb #VaccinesWork #endpolio #needlefree
