Our Vision is for all people, regardless of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability or sexual orientation, to have affordable and sustainable access to prescription medications and pharmacy services that optimize health in our community. Most of all, we will provide hope, often at very dark times. The Purpose of Pharmacy of Grace, Inc. is to break the cycle of homelessness, poverty, school absentee days, and unemployment caused by unmanaged medical conditions. Many chronic medical conditions (such as hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, asthma, COPD, bi-polar, and migraines) often go unmanaged, which eventually can cause people to seek costly medical care and possible emergency hospitalization. The Mission of Pharmacy of Grace is to improve access to prescription medication for uninsured and underinsured individuals and to increase the number of prescription medications, many times at no cost, available to vulnerable populations in Kansas.

Diane Marquez first realized she had a problem because she was struggling with constant thirst, fatigue, and sleepless nights. It wasn’t until she found herself in the hospital with a blood sugar level of 500 that she realized the truth: she was diabetic. “This was my wake-up call,” she said. "Pharmacy of Grace is my pharmacy!" Since she has been coming to Pharmacy of Grace, she can afford her medication every month and feels healthier and happier every day. She tells everyone she knows that Pharmacy of Grace is her pharmacy. November is Diabetes Awareness Month. In honor of National Pharmacy Week, we are excited to announce the Dr. Gary L. Grunewald Legacy Advanced Community Pharmacy Rotation at Pharmacy of Grace! ???? Named in honor of esteemed KU professor and mentor Dr. Grunewald, this program is dedicated to training the next generation of pharmacists through the Pharmacy of Grace model of patient-centered care, interprofessional collaboration, and hands-on experience. Dr. Grunewald’s legacy lives on in the countless students and professionals he inspired. Since Pharmacy of Grace is founded and staffed by many of his former students, we believe this is a terrific way we can honor his memory. We will recognize a significant gift from the Dr. Gary L.
