?? Get to know PHSL! ?? Our employee spotlight: Nico DiSanti Gain insight from Nico and his role here at PHSL. 1. **What is your current role and how long have you been with the company?** Pharmacy Intern; Approaching 1 year in March.? ? 2. **What inspired you to start a career in this field?** I am very interested in the business and financial practices that are involved in the pharmaceutical industry.? Trying to build my arsenal of both clinical and business skills in pharmacy. ? ? 4. **What do you enjoy most about working at PHSL?** The people. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. They are very flexible about my academic schedule and finding time to complete assigned work. ? ? 5. **What one piece of advice would you give to someone starting in your profession?** Don’t be afraid to ask. The tasks that I am responsible for as an intern are things that are not practiced in pharmacy school, so a lot of it is likely brand new. All it takes is a question and someone here will help guide you through learning the skill for the next time.?? ? 6. **What are some of your favorite hobbies/activities outside of work that you enjoy?**? I enjoy playing pick-up ice hockey, hunting/fishing, and spending quality time with friends and family. ? ? 7. **What's something interesting about you that not many people know?**? I start every day with the same sequence of trivia. Wordle, Mini Crossword, Connections, LinkedIn games, Daily Dozen? ? 8. **What has been your most rewarding project?**? I think my most rewarding project during my time here so far is my contribution in analyzing the GPI updates twice a year, and compiling letters to the drug manufacturers about effected changes.?? ? ? 9. **How have your roles evolved over the year?**? ? Coming into this role, I was pretty unaware of what it truly was going to ask from me, and slightly worried that my skills were not up to par with the tasks given. Over time, my Excel skills specifically have greatly improved and I felt that I was able to work more efficiently on my own as I worked on more projects. I hope they continue to improve as I continue to work on more projects.? ? ? 10. **What's your favorite memory from your time here?**? ?? It’s hard to pinpoint one specific memory, but I enjoy the workdays where everyone in the office joins for lunch together in the conference room. It allows us to all get away from “work talk” and chat about our personal lives.??
