Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Chapter’s youth program, BotsIQ hosted its 4th Girls Exploring Engineering Day. To date, this program has introduced nearly 500 young women to manufacturing. This week's topic: Steel & Aluminum Tariffs Update On February 10, President Trump signed proclamations making changes to the Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs. The action reinstates 25% tariffs on steel imports from all countries, while increasing the tariffs on aluminum from 10% to 25%. On Saturday, President Trump signed an order placing 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, and 10% tariffs on imports from China, which will go into effect tomorrow.
