Youth in Prince George’s County is our future and we are always eager to pour into their development. ?? This past weekend, members of PGCYD leadership had the pleasure of joining the National Harbor Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. for their “Your Vote, Your Power - Teen Town Hall” panel event at Bishop McNamara High School. We urge you to get registered to vote today! We want to remind you that your vote matters and deserves to be counted. Voter suppression is a tactic used to keep marginalized groups from voting or being counted, like invalidating voters’ registrations. Across the country, we have seen some jurisdictions invalidating registrations in mass groups–disproportionately impacting marginalized groups. If you are registered to vote, be sure to verify your status and update any necessary information. We urge you to do research on what and who will be on the ballot and to tell everyone you know to vote in this upcoming election! ??
