Last week’s early spring Nor’easter walloped the Granite State; it’s hard to believe just how much destruction we saw to our trees and infrastructure. The heavy, wet, cement-like snow stuck to trees that were already weakened by the previous week’s storm, and the strong winds brought down broken limbs. By Sunday, we had replaced 346 broken poles—we’re still finding damage today! ? I appreciate that this was the second significant storm within a two-week period that many of our customers experienced a multi-day outage. I can’t thank them enough for their patience and understanding. We were heartened seeing their positive comments on our social media posts. ? To my Eversource Energy NH team: you are amazing. Together, we restored power to more than 310,000 customers in three short days, and we did it safely. Behind the scenes, a large and talented support staff made sure crews had everything they needed to get the lights back—and we leveraged an array of innovative solutions to help speed our efforts, including an efficient pole replacement process. #TeamEversource knows how to get the job done! I appreciate all the help we received from our colleagues in MA and CT, as well as crews that traveled from far and wide. Thank you for stepping up.
