What better way to explore a career than experiencing it? Three students from Leander ISD spent the day with us for Career Investigation Day, exploring what it means to be an architect. Jeremy Barragan led them through a packed schedule—meeting our team, learning about different roles, and visiting one of our high school projects in Austin. On-site, they saw how a design takes shape in construction, asked great questions, and got a firsthand look at the process behind the kinds of buildings they learn in every day. Back at the office, they wrapped up by sketching their own floor plans, putting their creativity to the test. Maybe we will see them back here in a few years ?? #meaningfulexperiences

Yes, we do doghouses too! Claws and Paws is a design-build competition that brings designers, builders, and animal lovers together to create one-of-a-kind doghouses and cat condos. This year, our San Antonio studio teamed up with CGC General Contractors, Inc. to create the Sit & Stay Chalet—a cozy, functional retreat designed for dogs of all sizes. It features an adjustable wall for customized comfort and layouts with designated sleeping and lounging areas. Whether it’s mealtime or naptime, this chalet is built to make tails wag. All entries are on display at San Antonio’s Historic Pearl throughout March. The designs will be judged on construction quality and creativity before being auctioned online. The proceeds will benefit PAWS for Service and DaisyCares, organizations dedicated to providing therapy dog programs, pet food assistance, and veterinary care. ? Auction and voting close on the 22nd! As we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, I want to share an incredible experience that truly inspired me. Burleson ISD's Game Development Design School was one of the first projects our Dallas office completed, and it’s still shaping how we think about experiential learning environments. Our team recently revisited the school, giving newer members a firsthand look at why this project continues to inspire. A huge thank you to Principal Brad Schilder for the tour and for sharing how the school keeps pushing boundaries. He highlighted the dynamic educators who teach across subjects, adapt to students’ needs, and fuel creativity in unexpected ways. And the students? They’re just as remarkable—turning ideas into games, collaborating like pros, and redefining what learning looks like.
