??? Embracing the harmony of modern design and traditional materials! This home beautifully marries a sleek, contemporary aesthetic with classic stucco and plaster finishes. The design strategically pushes the living spaces to the periphery, creating seamless indoor/outdoor connections. ?? From floor-to-ceiling windows and doors in the Gallery to stunning views of Percy Warner Park, every room maintains a strong relationship with the outdoors. The open flow continues into the kitchen’s breakfast room, which extends into the exterior living area through expansive corner windows. ????? The centerpiece? A countertop-height wood-burning fireplace in the kitchen, providing a warm, inviting backdrop perfect for gathering and entertaining. ???? Design at its finest—where modern elegance meets timeless materials. #HomeDesign #InteriorDesign #Architecture #ModernLiving #OutdoorConnection #LuxuryHomes

?? Transforming Heritage into a Haven ?? Nestled along the Buffalo River south of Nashville, this family farm offers a tranquil escape from everyday life. The centerpiece is a historic late-19th-century cabin, meticulously renovated to preserve its original chestnut log walls while adding a second-story loft and a screened porch with stunning river views. The interior, designed for comfort and quiet, highlights the cabin's natural charm and integrates seamlessly with its beautiful surroundings. Here, history and nature come together to create cherished memories.

Honored to have our company named as a finalist in the Nashville Best in Business Awards by the Nashville Business Journal. When asked about a business rule that should be ignored, Jamie Pfeffer says, "Watch the competition. We are focused on being absolute with our efforts and not relative. We do not peer set against other firms, only against our goals and our own potential." Read more on Nashville Business Journal

Exciting news! Our Pfeffer Torode project, Fox House, is showcased in Netflix’s latest release, "A Family Affair," featuring Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, Kathy Bates, and Joey King. Once voted the 'Ugliest Home in Atlanta' by Curbed magazine, the 1980's structure was due for an overhaul. Without changing the original footprint of the home, drastic changes were made by altering the exterior facade, particularly the window openings and the roofline, as well as the interior layout. The new house features ample outdoor living areas, including a new swimming pool, a rooftop terrace, and several outdoor courtyards. The interior renovations include all new bedroom suites, stairwell, kitchen, and living areas. Project Team led by Jamie Pfeffer Photography by Jonathan Hillyer

We're thrilled to highlight "The Wash," a pioneering micro-stall food hall in East Nashville, as one of our featured projects. The Wash transformed a defunct six-bay self-serve car wash into a vibrant micro-stall food and beverage hall. Located at 1101 McKennie Ave, Nashville, TN, this innovative project revitalizes a previously abandoned site, fostering community and entrepreneurial spirit. A driving goal of the project was to lower the bar of entry for local entrepreneurs and those entering the food and beverage space for the first time. By developing six kitchens simultaneously, leveraging buying power and amortizing the cost over multiple units, the team was able to reduce standard equipment, Vendor and MEP costs to 1/6th of the average for first generation restaurant space. What was once an abandoned carwash that occupied a prominent parcel along Gallatin is now a gathering space for neighbors as well as an incubator for local and minority restaurateurs that would likely otherwise be priced out of the market in this location. At The Wash, every one of the five spaces leased out by the developer has owners who are women or people of color. By leveraging the existing architecture, we’ve created an inviting and dynamic gathering place for East Nashville's diverse community. In 2023, The Wash was honored to receive the AIA Middle Tennessee Honor Award and the ULI Excellence in Development Award.? We are honored to accept an AIA Birmingham Merit Award for our contributions on the Ravello restoration/renovation project. The renovation of the historic federal building in Montgomery is a significant addition to the revitalization efforts of downtown. The original bank, built in 1926 in the classical Beaux arts style, consisted of a center bay flanked by two smaller wings. After years of neglect, only the north wing remained. The development team acquired this building, along with its two nondescript neighbors, and transformed the three into one of the city’s finest culinary experiences – Ravello Ristorante- along with additional event space and offices. With hopes that Ravello can serve as inspiration for future renovation projects in the Capitol of Dreams, the restoration of this trio of urban buildings successfully blends history and art with modern amenities and showcases a commitment to preserving our cities heritage. Architects and designers from our Montgomery and Birmingham studios enjoyed an idyllic afternoon with Barbara Adkins of Black Sheep Antiques, touring her store and remarkable home. We were captivated by the historical beauty, inspired to sketch, and engaged in wonderful conversations about craft, stewardship, and breaking the rules of design.?
