Yesterday was all about connecting with the next generation of industry professionals! We had a busy and rewarding day at two incredible events: Northeast Florida Construction Career Days (CCD) – Introducing high school students to hands-on opportunities in the construction trades. University of North Florida Career Week: STEM & Construction Career Fair – Engaging with college students ready to launch their careers in engineering and construction. Last week, we celebrated Engineers Week by bringing one of our favorite food trucks, Southern Slice Pizza, to the hard-working engineers and staff at England-Thims & Miller, Inc.! As civil contractors, we collaborate with engineers every day to bring projects to life, and we’re grateful for their expertise, innovation, and problem-solving. It was great to spend time with the ETM team, recognizing the impact they make in our industry. Strong partnerships lead to better project outcomes, faster delivery, and stronger communities. We’re grateful for all the engineers who help shape the world around us—hope you had a great Engineers Week!

Our Petticoat-Schmitt team had a great time at the HCSS Users Group Meeting (UGM) 2025 in Houston, Texas! This event brought together industry professionals from various disciplines to sharpen their skills, exchange insights, and explore the latest innovations in estimating, project management, and construction technology.
