Every year, during a two-week fundraising event, PetSmart’s 'Be the Difference' campaign gives associates a unique opportunity to support the PetSmart Associate Assistance Foundation (PAAF), PetSmart Charities, and United Way. Over the past six years, we’ve proudly raised over $12 million to help these organizations and strengthen the communities they serve. This campaign brings us together to create a meaningful impact, supporting the vital work these organizations do for both people and pets in our communities. This year is particularly special as we celebrate 26 years of PetSmart’s unwavering commitment to making a difference. Today, we shared news of a leadership transition at PetSmart. J.K. Symancyk has stepped down as President and CEO of the company. Alan Schnaid, who has served as PetSmart’s Executive Vice President and CFO, will serve as interim President and CEO until a successor is in place. We’re deeply grateful for J.K.’s leadership and contributions over the past six years.
