We are pleased to announce the promotion of Eduard Golovin to Concrete Assistant Project Manager. Since 2022, Eduard has been an integral part of our Concrete Team. In his new role, he will support the daily management, coordination, and successful completion of concrete projects.

Next week, Petra Concrete will begin placing over 3,980 cubic yards of structural and site concrete at Logan Luxury Apartments in Nampa, Idaho. This ground-up, garden-style complex will feature eight 3-story buildings containing 264 residential units, a clubhouse with a swimming pool, and nine single-story, multi-vehicle parking garages.

On Monday at 7 a.m., our team began pouring the first half of the foundation for a 30,780 square foot?U-Box warehouse addition at the U-Haul Moving & Storage?facility in Murray, Utah. Next, we?will continue with the remainder of the foundation as well as ramp walls for the loading dock.

Bryan Macias joins Petra as a Concrete Intern. He will gain a comprehensive understanding of commercial concrete construction fundamentals, learn methods to support a Project Team, and develop skills in estimating, cost analysis, document control, and Petra Concrete's best practices. Bryan is currently studying Construction Management at Boise State University. In his free time, Bryan enjoys working out at the gym, shooting guns, and riding his UTV. Welcome to the TEAM, Bryan!

The Learning Experience is opening its first Idaho location in Meridian. Petra Concrete began by pouring the footings, stem walls, and slab-on-grade for the future 10,000 square foot childcare center.?The facility will feature 9 classrooms, 14 restrooms, an office area, a lounge, laundry room, and 5,000 square foot playground. Once completed, the academy will accommodate approximately 170 children, providing a nurturing environment for early education.

Boise State University - Residence Hall 405 is starting to take shape. We’ve finished?the slab-on-grade and poured levels 2 through 5. In the coming weeks, our efforts will focus on the 6th and final level of metal decking, concluding the main structure. Once this is complete, we’ll transition to the next phase of site work, which includes sidewalks, planters, curbs, and gutters. ?This new housing development will feature 234 units, including a designated apartment for the resident director, administrative offices, and a conference room. Students will have access to on-site laundry facilities, study and gathering spaces, bike storage, and the scenic?Boise Greenbelt nearby.

In Nampa, Idaho, we're handling the structural concrete for the future White Pines Apartments, a garden-style complex consisting of eleven 3-story buildings. The 120,507 square foot community will feature 264 residential units, a clubhouse, swimming pool, mail kiosk, playground, carports, and detached garages. The project requires roughly 3,800 cubic yards of concrete. We've completed the slab on grade for the clubhouse, and the foundation for Building 1 is finished.

We are proud to announce the promotion of Cesar Macias to Concrete Superintendent. Since joining Petra Concrete in 2022 as an Assistant Superintendent, Cesar has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment to the Team and significant leadership growth. In his new role, Cesar will oversee staff and provide guidance to concrete crews, working closely with the Regional Concrete Superintendent to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Duties include cutting expansion joints with a power saw, aligning forms to desired depth and pitch, directing the casting of concrete, preparing and cleaning surface areas, and completing moldings using a variety of hand-held power tools.
