    Just returned from the International Society of Barristers Board Meeting, where I had the honor of serving as National Membership Co-Chair for the first time. It’s a big responsibility, but I’m thrilled to share that we secured 27 nominations, with 24 successfully making it through the rigorous process. I’m especially proud that Ohio will soon be welcoming two new members—though they don’t know it yet! Excited for what’s ahead and grateful to be part of such an incredible organization of top trial attorneys from around the world.

Thomas Henretta Distinguished Advocate Award for the work they have done in the last year. A statewide committee selected the Petersens as this year’s honorees from a pool of nominees from across our state, highlighting our lawyers’ exceptional contributions to the legal profession. The Petersens drew statewide attention recently while litigating a contentious medical malpractice action, resulting in the trial court issuing a stern Sanctions Award for the Defendants’ discovery misconduct. In the end, the Petersens took the case to trial, receiving a jury verdict of $1.478 Million for their client, who lost vision in one eye from a failure to diagnose an emergency infection post-cataract surgery. ?
