Petersburg Community Development Corporation (PCDC) is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation established in 1989 to serve the needs of economically at-risk individuals and families in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. We are committed to cultivating dynamic and healthy communities by developing and owning affordable housing for families, seniors, and people with disabilities who need access to quality housing opportunities. Secondly, PCDC recognizes that developing affordable housing in America alone is not enough for hard-working people to achieve stability and be successful. That is why PCDC is also committed to providing supportive services through its Resident Service Department. Over the last month, PCDC has been busy ensuring 600+ youth residents have the basic?supplies needed to start the new school year. Thank you to PCDC staff, individual/corporate donors, and our fundraising partners Green Street Housing, TM Associates and the Julia Jaquette Memorial Fund for helping this important cause!

Some of the great partnerships PCDC has had include partnerships with some of the nation's leading social work schools, such as Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Ohio State University (OSU), and West Virginia University (WVU). This month, PCDC would like to thank our Resident Service Department Intern, Karlena Diggs, for a job well done, and we wish her much success in her future professional endeavors!
