Happy Monday! Today, we have a great team member for you to meet: Tim! He is our Lousiville Electrical Field Manager. Originally from Elizabethtown, KY, Tim still lives on the same 160-acre farm he grew up on. Hey Tim ?? What do you enjoy doing outside of work? T: Outside of work, I enjoy coaching archery, hunting, fishing, playing guitar, watching UK Basketball, spending time with my kids Ethan and Natalie (who are both at the University of Kentucky Go CATS!) and Katie, my wife of 23 years. ???? What got you interested in the trades? T: I sort of fell into the trades, but the earnings potential is what got me interested. My Dad was an HVAC Mechanic at a factory and was friends with an electrical contractor who needed an apprentice. I was hired and have done commercial and Industrial work for 25 years, taught in the public school system for 2 years, as well as apprenticeship programs for 6 years, taught continuing education for Kentucky, and have been in-home services for 3 years as a manager and supervisor. ???? Apple pie or pumpkin pie? T: I'm eating both with lots of ice cream and Redi Whip. ???? What's something you never leave home without? T: My sunglasses because electricians are the coolest of all the trades. ??? How long do you wait until you turn the heat on in your home? T: Growing up on a farm and working outdoors, I have come to despise cold weather. So the heat comes on when it is below 65 in my house. I like it sunny and 70 all the time. ??
