I had a fantastic time judging the University of Georgia's Next Top Entrepreneur Competition last week, alongside Hal Kravitz, Vivian Greentree, Ph.D., Robert S., and Isaac Asher.
There were 10 impressive and innovative companies in the competition, but three big winners:
A huge congrats to John D. (J.D.) Thomerson, MAC and Pet HealthCare Innovations? for securing the first prize of $10,000 with their patent-pending animal mobility solutions.
In second place, I was blown away by the quick growth of Tyler Meyer's fun business, Fire Truck Rentals of Atlanta, who won $5,000.
And lastly, congrats to KnoxBots who took third, earning $2,500, and is scaling a fleet of robotic lawn mowers in the Tennessee area (and likely beyond shortly).
Congratulations to everyone who competed, it's great to see the level of innovation showcased at The University of Georgia and those outside who came to pitch. Well done to everyone involved!
And thank you to Bob Pinckney and the broader UGA Entrepreneurship team for giving us the honor to judge!
