#FlashbackFriday to an incredible day at the 2025 Southeastern ASCE Student Symposium! ?? On March 7th, PES was honored to be the head sponsor of the Timber Strong Build Competition ???. Our very own?Alex Blankenship, E.I.T. Blankenship (head judge), Lacy Noerenberg, and?Steven Tate, E.I.T. stepped up as judges to evaluate the impressive work of the student teams. Participants showcased their engineering skills by designing and constructing a two-story wood light-framed building in just 90 minutes! ?? Tasks included structural analysis, BIM modeling, project bidding, construction document prep, and on-site project management. Once built, judges inspected the structures, provided expert feedback, and tested cantilever beam deflections against student calculations. ?? Breaking Ground in Kennesaw! ?? Last Friday, we had the honor of joining the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Kennesaw Public Safety Building! This 25,000 square foot facility will play a vital role in serving and protecting the community, and we’re proud to be part of the design team bringing this vision to life along with?CROFT & Associates, Gay Construction Company, Geo-Hydro Engineers, Inc., and Patterson & Dewar Engineers, Inc. for the City of Kennesaw.
