As an administrator for a Venture Mentoring Service program, I gained a deep appreciation for the intricate backend work required to manage such an organization. From managing applicants and coordinating scheduling to planning events and gathering data for grant writing and fundraising, my role was often affectionately referred to as the "Chaos Coordinator." During my time in this position, I recognized the potential for automation to streamline our processes. However, after extensive research, I couldn't find a software solution that truly met our unique needs. Curious if others faced the same challenge, I reached out to other VMS programs, and the response was unanimous—they, too, were struggling to find an adequate platform. This shared challenge sparked the creation of Persto, Inc., an online platform designed to support mentoring communities in every aspect of their operations. With Persto, we aim to simplify the complexities of managing mentoring programs, enabling these empowering organizations to focus more on their mission and less on administrative burdens.
