#PEAK2024 convening just wrapped up and I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow with foundations. Dolores Estrada said “this convening is our love letter to you” to a room of 1500 people (in person and virtual) and I definitely feel the love every year I come back to this incredible event. Thank you Mike Wolff for your support allowing us to show Salesforce commitment to nonprofits and foundations. Special shout out to everyone who participated in our Salesforce User Group, learned about our Grantmaking roadmap, watched me unpack Einstein Trust Layer, and saw a demo of Copilot and Prompt Builder. Also sincere thanks to Sarah Berluche with Perspective Fund, Paige Granger with The Rockefeller Foundation and Justine Palacios with Arnold Ventures for sharing their Salesforce journey with the rest of the group. We’re thrilled to announce CanadaLabs — a place for the next generation of audio journalists and creators to learn valuable skills, build their networks, and get their stories in front of Canadians from coast to coast. In addition to hosting audio journalism workshops, panels, and other events throughout the year in Canadaland’s Toronto newsroom we’ve got two initiatives in particular that we’re excited to share with you: 1. The “Local Correspondent” Audio Contest, where we’ll be looking for short, local stories from across the country to be featured on Canadaland. Journalists and audio storytellers of any level are encouraged to submit a piece! 2. The Audio Journalism Fellowship Program in partnership with Journalists for Human Rights, where emerging journalists will get paid for the opportunity to produce their own story in our newsroom under the guidance of our team of journalists and editors.
