Personal PAC members attended the sentencing to show their support for the clinic owner, as she read her moving victim impact statement. The clinic, located on the border with Indiana in Danville, Illinois will serve individuals who have been stripped of their reproductive freedom by Indiana’s complete abortion ban once the clinic opens. Kate Cox, who faces pregnancy complications and sued the state of Texas for access to an abortion, has left the state to get the procedure. This latest case in Texas makes it abundantly clear that abortion is healthcare. Elected judges and officials in Texas are cruelly denying urgently needed healthcare to people every single day. This is why we must work every election, every cycle to protect abortion rights at the state and local level. While the state where the procedure will take place will not be disclosed, we are proud of the work we’ve done to make Illinois a haven for women like Kate. #abortionrights #reproductiverights ##prochoice

Each month, we collectively check in, engage in mindfulness/meditation practices, and participate in a facilitated discussion to share our experiences (or just listen!) as we build connections and widen abortion narratives. Circles welcome all who have had abortions, not just CAF grantees.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville's extreme position on abortion has actively weakened our military. Today, Tuberville ended his 10-month blockade of military nominations over his opposition to a policy on reproductive care. The policy reimburses service members for travel expenses for abortions and fertility treatment. Tuberville and other Republicans have said they will still oppose confirming 11 top military confirmations as a continued protest to the Pentagon’s policy. We must always be vigilant.
