This international recognition day helps raise awareness about epilepsy, a neurological condition experienced by 65 million worldwide. This year's theme is "Power in Purple." A quick one-click campaign has been launched to support a new bill backing improvements to the Medicaid audit process! The Developmental Disabilities Alliance of WNY (DDAWNY) is part of a statewide coalition that is supporting an Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) Reform Bill. The legislation would inject greater transparency, fairness and balance into the OMIG Medicaid audit process. The Assembly Health Committee has advanced the bill to the Assembly Ways and Means Committee. DDAWNY encourages everyone to send one-click messages of support to Assembly members asking them to fight to include this legislation in the state budget.
